Constance Caraway P.I. ~ Episode 147

Chapter Thirteen

Do remember that nagging question that was one of five such  posed at the beginning of Chapter 2?

  1. Is gray really a color?

The answer: No, unless it’s your favorite color, is irrelevant, especially at this point of the Libby Affair.

A “gray” area is one that straddles the boundaries of both black and white. It also applies when the lines between right and wrong become blurred.

Pentateuch, the Dark Deceiver, is the undeniable expert at blurring contestable issues.OK He does not believe in definable absolutes; you’re okay, I’m okay, let’s make it even and we’ll call it a day.

For the Willard Libby, reports of his odd demise have been greatly exaggerated. While both he and Martin Kamen are dead to the world, a select certain few interested parties have more reliable information, direct from the horses’ mouth.

One such party is Billy Graham, who has been on the ground floor of the Libby Affair even before it became an affair at all. Back in December, ‘The Preacher to Presidents’ had laid all Creation’s cards on the table in order to get an evangelical foothold into the scientific community. From what he had imparted to that inquiring Libby, he was applying spiritual mortar to the scientific brick foundation currently under construction.

Libby has been equipped with the essential resolve to stay in the game until the final whistle, whenever it may blow. The road he has chosen is not the primrose path (the easy way).

“I want you to be a part of my next crusade.” Without concern or compunction, Billy Graham has his sights set on revival. It has been many, many years since the last “Great Awakening” and considering the troubling direction of the world, the frequency of wars, the coming age of information, moral decay, etc…, the time has come for the next such amassing of God’s people.
