…Princess Cerella has vanished to who knows where and a vexed, perplexed & hexed civilization uses every means at its disposal to survive…

is everywhere. Lorgan is nowhere.  What substance is there to empty? Does it need a place to occupy? Is there up or down? Was there a beginning or is there an end? How does empty go from here to there?

“Did the cruiser capture the Eridanus princess? Much will be rewarded to that crew, should they carry off that kidnapping. Župzïð the Last is counting on a victory, to offset the mounting Ÿ€Ð losses. Though he is occupied with preparations for the Collapsar Axis, he will gladly raise a toast to a glorious victory.

At a whopping 10M cubic cubits Collapsar Axis is a bona fide original. It could hold {within its sprawling confines}:

  1. every single Eridanian tower/city
  2. Seljuk outpost #3
  3. The United States State of Wyoming
  4. the last shreds of a once proud Ÿ€Ð civilization and anyone else who wants to join that merry band of refugees

Collapsar Axis will not threaten any space-speed records, but by all accounts it is 28 times the size of O. It is neither planet nor spaceship, but it identifiable and quantifiable, neither of which O is.

They have known for quite some time, that the planet which they called home would be Image result for planets collide gifrear-ended by a sister globe, long before its atmosphere was laid waste. That inconvenience has only served to hasten their boarding.

“No, great Župzïð, the Eridanian female was not taken. She has vanished, as did our cruiser.”

The concept of irony is farfetched for the Ÿ€Ð.

&%#$+><* the one who bore you {a term of endearment}! I am tempted to strand everyone involved on our doomed world.”

“You cannot punish the air. There was no evidence of destruction, Great One.”

“We are down to 2 cruisers and I am supposed to be pleased?”

1 is the real count, after Chasonn’s new perimeter defense becomes suddenly lethal.

…In pursuing “The Curious Case of Collapsar’s Cause”, worse is better…

#It would take a cosmic force to disable TSF# Xat would know.

#We suspect ⃝    is responsible#

#We know both ⃝    #

The dank cavern surrounds them once again. Xat returns to the world he created for himself.

Ekcello and the Keeper return to the surface. One problem solved while others go unanswered.

#I wonder if Xat could solve the riddle#

#Which riddle Supreme Elder? There are two O#

Chasonn is aware that he needs a fashion makeover to blend into the world he seeks to occupy. Clothing may or may not define the man, but it means different things to different people, while others find it unnecessary. He does cut a fine figure, but if he shows up on Collapsar Axis looking like a Seljuk prince, he will last only as long as he goes undetected.

Someone versed in the ways of the Ÿ€Ð, tells him that he is suffering from the dreaded “2’s”:

  1. 2 clean
  2. 2 comely
  3. 2 thin
  4. 2 modern

…And not barbaric enough.

So in the days leading up to his one-man incursion, he regresses, digresses and most importantly suppresses the Seljukian charm that hangs on him like a badge of honor. In order, he undoes the 2’s:

  1. Bathing is for the weak
  2. Seediness projects strength
  3. Excess in all things
  4. Dress-down for success

In pursuing “The Curious Case of Collapsar’s Cause”, worse is better. As it turns out, the Ÿ€Ð intellectual class is clothed in hooded garments. It makes them look smarter. For Chasonn, it will be a convenient way to wander about.

But the real risk taking begins with his prisoner- tested and prince-approved particle-beam transporter. Hitting the larger target is easy, finding a strategic spot to insert him is critical. If the transporter places him in the wrong area, it would take him days to find what he is looking for – if only he knew what he was looking for.

Goal one is to make sure that Seljuk interests are secure. Goal two is fluid.

“I will return to my landing spot at the appointed time. If I am not there, keep trying. Hopefully I do not attract undue attention,” he tells his transport assistant.–

…Chasonn has tracked Collapsar Axis as it hopscotches its way from one sentient culture to the next…

Some societies have better things to do than solving inane riddles, even if it does concern a neighboring planet. The Seljuk, specifically Chasonn has a more urgent challenge to resolve. While Earth wrack their brains over word games and Eridanus digs into its long gone past, Chasonn has been watchful, ever vigilantly monitoring the progress of what he has come to know as Collapsar Axis; the sum total of once was the Ÿ€Ð home world.

The wily leader of all things Triangulum, has long since stopped wondering by what means this hulking mass {10 M cubic cubits} is propelled. Chasonn estimates that it may be the single largest object in the known Great Expanse, which is not a planet. Unlike a planet, this Ÿ€Ðian creation is not held back by any particular gravitation.

Lumbering best describes its movement. Questionable are its intentions.

Of all the technological challenges he has faced in the past, none is more daunting than the plan he is hatching.

There is a rooting self-interest in the inexorable Ÿ€Ð progress. He has tracked Collapsar Axis as it hopscotches its way from one sentient culture to the next. Whether it is a primal culture or one dipping its toe in the mighty ocean of dark matter, the colossal colony is scrutinizing each one of them, without fail.

Lumbering is more than slightly misleading. It may take the faith of a powerful God to move a mighty mountain one foot, but only days to bring Collapsar Axis from one star system to the next. Like a predator on the hunt, so does it prowl.

There is one distinct difference in the Ÿ€Ðian approach to space travel this time around. Gone is the divide & conquer mentality of Chasonn’s father’s day, when the Ÿ€Ðian marauders stripped away leaders, to weaken a potential foe… or what they perceived as a future threat to their territory.

Not so, in this time and space. They are looking but not touching.

{It must be quite an unsettling sight: imagine a stone-age people, hunting for their next meal, seeing Collapsar hovering above. Would that not cause them some considerable pause?}

…It is on to the next… and on and on and on they go.–
