… the Space Family McKinney is exceeding its status as kings of deep space lore…

While hearing of Cerella’s recent travails first hand, where she actually left out the details of the dark space she occupied for months, Gus can hardly contain himself. One part joy – two parts anger, he wonders why a clearer message was not sent, rather than the fleeting apparitions in dribs & drabs, albeit cryptic clues about his family.

“We could not risk the current timestem on sentimentality,” she explains.

“And yet you plopped the technology for the molecular stabilizer and Warp 3 in our laps?”

“And disruptor weapon and force field?” adds Roy.

“If Celeste McKinney and I do not stabilize the molecules within your spacecraft, you both would have been lost.”

“Celeste and Sampson, they’re alive too!”

“… and your sister Deimostra.”

A sense of irony has grabbed the headlines.

“We named our baby daughter Marscie Deimos for crying out loud! Did you hear that Roy, I have a sister?”

For as long as Dr. Picard will allow, Cerella narrates the full McKinney saga as best as she can. Mars to NEWFOUNDLANDER, NEWFOUNDLANDER to Eridanus and now Explorer to the ends of the Milky Way and beyond, the Space Family McKinney is exceeding its status as kings of deep space lore.

A “somehow” family reunion is in order, but first Cerella must recover and the NASA boys need to regroup. If only they could call over to Eridanus and make the arrangements. Lost on all the Earthly excitement is that Deke and Co. are no doubt worried silly. Before she conceived, Cerella would have been able to use hyperphysical transmigration to facilitate or at the very least reestablish a telepathic connection with home, but Picard’s surgery did not preserve those extraordinary Eridanian functions. Although he firmly believes that a brain will find a way to mend broken links.

Too bad, either option would come in handy right now.

THE RETURN TRIP – Episode 220

…“They are probing my mind… like walking through every corner of my brain with this melodic clamor all around…

The Eridanians make sure their ship is ship-shape.

Directly after the “germ-inator team” nod their all-clear andImage result for door opening gif inspections can proceed, directly before Ekcello could begin his coded entrance to the inside, Sampson decides to get the party started. With Celeste at his left side and Sammy’s sixty pounds hoisted by Celeste, he lights up the NEWFOUNDLANDER/Explorer’s entranceway and opensWell Hello There GIFs | Tenor that outside access.

The McKinneys stand as a family in portrait.

The Eridanians are nearly floored by the un-bargained-for presentation. You could almost hear them gasp in baritone oneness.

Getting the jump on a telepath is difficult, if not unprecedented, but when you do, a picture is worth a thousand words as they say. For a fraction of a second, before their practiced disciplines could grasp the moment, all these cognoscente beings would do is to stare in disbelief, if you could only read their minds.

Realizing that speaking would only serve to complicate the confusion, the Space Family McKinney {minus Deke & Gus} maintain their quaint pose, allowing their hosts the chance to catch their breath, or whatever keeps them afloat? But they are not long for a quandary state, having determined that the stowaways pose no immediate threat.

The five mysterious robed beings form a mental huddle, short-cut=think-tank style. When closed eyes are opened, they surely have made a decision of sorts.

“They were inside my mind Sam. It’s like I could hear scores of voices all at once,” Celeste whispers sideways.

“I don’t hear a thing, what do you mean,” Sampson reacts gingerly, less sure of their reaction to verbiage?

“They are probing my mind… like walking through every corner of my brain with this melodic clamor all around.”

“Are they still in there?” he asks, looking toward her like she has been taken over.

There is no answer. Her eyelids fall shut and she is in a deep trance.

Deimostra cannot hold back, “What is wrong with Mommy?” She nears tears.

“She is sleeping Sammy, just sleeping.” He could not be sure, but he was in no position to find out otherwise. When he moved to brush a stay blond hair from his wife’s face, an unknown force holds his arm back.

The NULL Solution = Episode 141

…You can’t please everyone all the time, but when you can satisfy the majority, it is a start…

Back in his King Ranch upbringing, Deke was used to foreign languages, before elementary Spanish became part of his south Texas way of life.

“Lo que es para el almuerzo.” “Senorita Francine la carne de cerdo y frijoles.”

Poor Deke and his brother thought the men were probably talking trash about their stepmom, but that was all. “What’s for lunch” and sounds like “the Alamo freed people from holes”, even though they “love Francine’s gourmet pork & bean creation”.

The Gifted preferred method of communication is between minds. Do the Null have a clue as to what is going on? That does nothing for the no-small matter of trust.

#The Null have beautiful children# Thoughts do not audibly register, so the Null are unable to hear that some Gifted female thinks their child is beautiful, which is an unfortunate consequence.

The melodious Olde Language makes a rousing comeback, which is good, but it then leaves the Earthlings in the dark. You can’t please everyone all the time, but when you can satisfy the majority, it is a start.

The matter of Joyner McKinney is another story. The Gifted and Null share a genetic heritage, that some have traced back to the early days on their original homeworld. Celebrating that commonality can be used as glue for reluctant participants in global change. But to be mixed with the lowly humans, who are still relatively new to the Eridanian way and regrettably primitive {especially the one called Sammy Mac}, is a real hindrance to his acceptance. What good can such child do for the greater good? What manner of disease will be introduced among them?

John Q Eridanus is afraid that Joyner’s humanness will turn them all into savages, a marked step back for a superior race that has discarded wars and deplores aggression.

Similarly, Cerella’s status has been diminished. She has embraced the frivolous notion of love, a previously unnecessary emotional bond. That one even needs to express her feelings is foreign. Can she be trusted in a position of leadership without favoring her mate’s family?
